Building our Village with a Grateful Heart

Margaret’s Village Fall Gala on Thursday, September 24, 2020 will include a Virtual Round Table, entitled Building our Village with a Grateful Heart, that will feature diverse voices and points of view from the Chicago Human Services sector.

During the Gala, we will be honoring two very special individuals, who have made a difference in our community and supported the mission of Margaret’s Village with the Sister Margaret Traxler Award.

Mayor-lori-lightfoot The Honorable Lori Lightfoot
Mayor of the City of Chicago
Margaret’s Village recognizes Mayor Lightfoot for her leadership in the City of Chicago, particularly with Solutions Toward Ending Poverty (STEP) initiative, a comprehensive and community-focused approach addressing both the symptoms and root causes of entrenched economic hardship in our city.
Sister Donna Liette, CPPS
Precious Blood Ministry of Reconcilliation
For the last 10 years Sr. Donna has been the director of services for women at Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation, working with mothers who have lost children either to gun violence or to prison or both.
